What the cleaning includes

  1. We take the unit apartThis is possible on most units, and it is the difference between a proper wash and wiping the surface. Occasionally we do not open it up: if the way it was installed physically prevents it, or if the unit is old and the plastic has yellowed, because taking it apart would crack it. In that case we tell you before we start. It does not mean we only spray it: we still do the full washing-bag treatment with the cleaning solution, just without removing the casing. It still comes out thoroughly clean.
  2. We fit a washing bagThe bag catches the waste water and we drain it into a bucket. Nothing drips onto your wall, your furniture or your floor.
  3. We spray it with Deep Clean solutionIt kills bacteria, fungi and viruses, and dissolves the built-up grime. This is why after a cleaning the unit not only blows better, it also stops smelling.
  4. We wash the outdoor unitWith a high-pressure washer. Dust and lint settling into the outdoor fins reduce cooling performance, so this step is not optional. One thing we state up front: if the outdoor unit cannot be reached safely, we do not take the job. That needs the right equipment, a cherry picker or a crane, and we agree on it in advance rather than improvising on site.
  5. We rinse the indoor unit throughWhat comes off the fins of the heat exchanger and the fan barrel is exactly the layer that makes the air smell and the airflow weak.
  6. We put the unit back togetherWe reassemble it, test it, and take the waste water away. We leave your flat the way we found it.

How much does air conditioner cleaning cost?Cleaning one unit costs 18 000 HUF. With more units the price per unit is lower: 17 000 HUF for two units, 16 000 HUF for three, and 15 000 HUF per unit from four upwards.
What happens during the cleaning?We take the unit apart, fit a washing bag, spray it with Deep Clean solution which kills bacteria, fungi and viruses, then wash the outdoor unit with a high-pressure washer and rinse the indoor one through. At the end we reassemble it and test it.
Will it make a mess in my flat?No. The indoor unit gets a washing bag that catches the waste water, which we drain into a bucket and take away with us at the end.
How often should it be cleaned?On a new unit still under warranty the manufacturer usually requires two cleanings per year. Gree, for example, ties the warranty to it, so in that case two is a condition, not a recommendation. You also need two per year if you use the unit for heating, if anyone smokes in the flat, or if someone in the family has allergies. If you only cool with it and the warranty has expired, once a year is often enough, but it also depends on the location: an outdoor unit beside a busy road or in a dusty area gets dirty faster.
How do I know it is time?If the unit smells when it starts, if the airflow is weaker than it used to be, if dust particles come out of it, or if it has not been cleaned for a year.
